If you have been here before, you would have read that "I am a Professor of Surgery with sub-specialization in Clinical Oncology, Epidemiology and Bioethics. I practice general surgery and clinical oncology at the University College Hospital, Ibadan; lecture surgery and bioethics at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and nutrition epidemiology at the University of Ibadan".
In 2009, I transitioned to the Institute of Human Virology; Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center of the University of Maryland, Baltimore where I conduct cancer and genomics research, and direct a course on cancer epidemiology! In addition, I provide technical advice to the Institute of Human Virology, Abuja, Nigeria where I work with colleagues to manage an HIV treatment and prevention data capture project. I implement a pre-service training program for health care professionals to empower them to better engage the HIV epidemic in Nigeria.

My work in research ethics continues with Chairmanship of the Nigerian National Health Research Ethics Committee. I conduct research in a wide range of issues, including medical education, clinical oncology, general surgery, bioethics and epidemiology - including genetic, molecular, nutrition and environmental health epidemiology.
